Unusual Projects- Henley Town Hall
Henley Town Hall was refurbished in Spring 2000 to celebrate its centenary. I was commissioned to gild the detailed mouldings in the hall. The crowns and initials had been painted in gold in a previous redecoration. The specification from the Town Council and English Heritage called for the crowns and Henley initials to be restored using 23.5 carat gold leaf.
